Education: 7 Grade School (Conspulsory Education Canadian Army Grade 12 Equiv.)
Self-taught in the field of the arts. (Grandfather and Father were both woodcarvers.)
No training in this by colleges. Have been woodcarving since I was 6 years old.
Knowledge of the wood used has been passed down by my Indian Ancestors (Drying & Treating).
I hold a Masters Degree in Finish Carpentry. (Retired as a Building Contractor).
I was born in New Brunswick and have resided in Sussex most of my 61 years.
I am a Juried Member of the New Brunswick Crafts Council.
My work was on display for the first time Art Acquisitions 1991-1992, Galerie d'art de l'Université de Moncton, N.B.
My work has since been displayed in the Public High Schools in the Sussex area.
I have over 200 pieces of life-sized animals, mythology pieces, life-sized Indians, little boys and little girls.
The "Pole of Life" represents my New Brunswick people. It was carved from a mighty white pine log selected from the forests near Sussex, New Brunswick, and cured for two years.
