Drawing is both a process of reconciliation and reconstruction.
The 2 large drawings exhibited in the bridal salon were made on-site. They are responses to the values I associate with bridaldom, values I saw reflected in the theatrical florescent lighting, the dead pink walls and the omnipotant full body mirrors.
An important part of the process was the transformation of the 2 dimensional images on paper into 3 dimensional structures: the integretion of the drawings with elements of the space and with construction materials found in the building.
The bookworks are examples of my ongoing concerns.
